Dual camera S16D: World's first double
hemispheric camera
The S15D features two
hemispheric sensor modules, each with
a horizontal viewing angle of 180°.
This way, two entirely separate spaces
next to or on top of each other,
indoors or outdoors can be monitored
simultaneously using just one camera.
With a black-and-white sensor, the
S15D can also be used as hemispheric
day-and-night camera.

The S16D has
provision to connect two
Sensor Modules via 2
meter (6.6. feet) video
cables. This offers
unprecedented
flexibility and
installation options.
Each S16D Sensor
Module is tiny in form
factor, which is ideal
for discreet
surveillance and
monitoring applications.
Each module has a
built-in microphone for
lip-sync audio and video
recording.
Extensions kits are
available for the sensor
modules that covers a
variety of ceiling and
wall mount installation
situations. Each set
offers a 40mm extension,
locking nut, two 15
degree wedges, available
in black and white and
two wedge sealing rings.
Plus two wedge sealing
rings. Using the
Extension Set in the
right way, an S16D
sensor module can
installed into a wall
cavity or ceiling.
You can install the S16D
to monitor two separate
areas or rooms, which
makes for a very cost
effective way to install
megapixel hemispheric
video technology.

Both S16 devices ship
with a factory fitted
4GB microSD card which
can be removed and
upgraded to a card of a
higher capacity. Like
all MOBOTIX IP cameras,
the S16 has the video
management software
built-in, so can record
directly to any standard
digital storage media,
no dedicated NVR or
licensed Video
Management Software is
ever required. To access
video recordings from
the storage device, all
you need is MxControlCenter or
MxEasy both are
available from MOBOTIX
for download, free of
charge.
The S16 is DIN EN 50155
certified, so its
compliant for public
transport (bus or train)
applications.
The MOBOTIX S16
internal interfaces
include:
Terminal for
installation cabling
connectivity.
MxBus to connect
functional boxes such as
the Mx-GPS-Box and the
Mx-232-IO-Box.
miniUSB for further
device expansion, such

Hemispheric camera for
concealed installation
The S15M features a
permanently-attached
hemispheric sensor
module (day or night).
The housing can be
concealed behind a cover
or cladding (e.g.
stainless steel) of up
to 6.4 mm/0.25 in in
thickness.
Inconspicuous and elegant
The flat housing, including long-term
flash memory and external connectors
(Ethernet, MiniUSB, MxBus), can be
installed discreetly and with optimal
protection behind a wall or ceiling.
Ideal for hotels, restaurants, office
buildings, shops; but also for
installation in devices like ATMs.
Weatherproof and energy-saving (PoE
standard)
The entire system is weatherproof
(IP66), operates in a temperature
range of 30°C to +60°C (22°F to
+140°F) and can be operated all year
round with power supplied via a
standard PoE network cable. Power
consumption is less than 5 watts. |
